What are your thoughts on FanFics?

I have only ever read one fanfic, and it was Manacled by SenLinYu. I honestly wouldn't even call it a fanfic because of how well done it was, I was actually amazed. I was always super scared off of fanfics because you know you always hear the weird shit that comes out of a lot of them. But I can confidently say that if you dig deep enough there are some genuinely amazing fics out there with great writing, characters and plot. It is also a way to get more of the characters that you know and love. One of the best things about fanfics I think is the fact that there are hundreds of thousands of them out there. There is literally something for everyone, no matter how weird or niche it is.

I may want to read more fanfics in the future and maybe start reviewing them if it's something that people are interested in. The problem is I already have such a long list of books that I want to read its so hard to chose which one to read next. Anyway, I know how hard it is to shift through all of the fanfics to find the actual good stuff, so maybe I will make a good list here. Right now im looking into this Hogwarts legacy fanfic that focuses on Sebastian, because I just replayed the game and I am kind of obsessing over it right now.

Tbh it scares me to read something that I am not that sure about, because I feel like it always puts me in such a bad reading slump. But I think this blog will ready help me with that. Plus, when you read as much as I do, you are bound to come across books that do that to do, that's just in the hobby.

Anyway, just some late night thoughts. If you have any recommendations of fanfics please let me know! Good night nook.

I have been reading this stupid fanfic all night, and I am saddened to say I am kind of obsessed haha. I am halfway through and I think it's the sleep deprivation but it has me in a chokehold. I am reading Evoke by Sarahbx_ on Wattpad if anyone wants to read. I will update when I am finished.

UPDATE #2:

I am officially all caught up on the fanfic and I am very pleasantly surprised. I didn't have very high expectations going into it, I mostly started it because of my Sebastian Sallow obsession lol. But it is very well written, very descriptive and very good for someone who has never wrote a book before. The writing is a bit clunky at some points, and the connection between the MC and Sebastian can be very very unclear sometimes (mostly because Seb is an ass, but I would have liked to see more of the MC actually like him lol.) But other than that, it is a good read for anyone who wants a quick smutty wizarding world experience. I look forward to reading the next chapter.
